APFAO Work Plan 2015 Approved
APFAO members approved the work plan for 2015 of the Federation. The plan called for the design and implementation of the APFAO logo, website and e-newsletter. A financial support from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) made these initial activities possible.
APFAO members at the ASAE Content Advisory Group Asia-Pacific Great Ideas Conference 2016
APFAO members participated in the content advisory group planning meeting on June 24, 2015 in Beijing,China for the Asia-Pacific Great Ideas Conference 2016 of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). APFAO members were also part of the planning for the successful inaugural run of the conference last March 22-24, 2015 held in Hong Kong. It was during the event that the APFAO was initiated through the signing of the “Hong Kong Charter”. The ASAE Great Ideas 2016 conference will be held on April 10-12, 2016 in Hong Kong.
APFAO members, AF and PCAAE, in bilateral cooperation
The Australian-based Associations Forum (AF) and the Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives (PCAAE) based in Manila, have collaborated bilaterally. On June 29-30, 2015, AF’s General Manager, John Peacock, was the main resource person for the launch of PCAAE’s ‘Certified Professional Association Executive’ program. On July 14-15, 2015, PCAAE’s President & CEO, Octavio ‘Bobby’ Peralta, spoke in one of the sessions of the Associations Forum Annual Conference 2015 held in Adelaide.
AF Member to speak at PCAAE’s Association Executives Summit III
Associations Forum member, the Australian Trucking Association, represented Tania Goodacre, will participate and speak at PCAAE’s Association Executives Summit (AES) III to be held in Manila, Philippines on December 3-5, 2015 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
APFAO meeting planned in April 10, 2016
A planned meeting of APFAO members, stakeholders and partners will take place in Hong Kong during the ASAE Asia-Pacific Great Ideas Conference 2016. ASAE has proposed to organize and host this meeting.
