APFAO holds 3rd General Assembly Meeting, approves its founding constitution

The Asia Pacific Federation of Association Organizations (APFAO) held its third general assembly meeting on October 29, 2018 in Singapore before the ASAE Association Leadership Forum Asia-Pacific there held on October 30-31, 2018.

The meeting, which was hosted by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), was convened at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Singapore at 12:30 p.m. and was attended by all four APFAO founding members namely, the Associations Forum, the Australasian Society of Association Executives (AuSAE), the Korean Society of Association Executives (KSAE) and the Philippine Council of Associations and Association Executives (PCAAE). They were joined by representatives from the ASAE, ICCA, as well as several ICCA member-convention and visitor bureaus.

During the meeting, the founding members approved formalizing the Federation by having in place its own constitution and leadership structure. Named President and Vice President were PCAAE Founder & CEO Octavio “Bobby” Peralta and Associations Forum CEO John Peacock, respectively.

APFAO’s vision is to be the hub of excellence in association leadership in Asia and the Pacific.
