The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Asia-Pacific Federation of Association Organizations (APFAO) signed a memorandum of cooperation on April 17, 2017 at the ASAE headquarters in Washington, D.C. ASAE President & CEO, Mr. John H. Graham IV and APFAO Pro Tem Head of Secretariat, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, signed the agreement on behalf of their organizations.
The MoC aims to harness common synergies of both institutions for the benefit of their respective members through implementation of programs and activities of mutual interest. Among these are conferences and forums on association governance and management, credentialing programs, networking and strategic alliances among members, and other areas of cooperation such as grants, information and study exchanges, publications as well as research and studies.
The general and wide-ranging cooperation between ASAE and APFAO ushers a new leaf of collaboration between the two organizations both advocating for professionalizing association governance and management.
